The return journey went smoothly and we returned to Barcelona on time.

Again Violeta was there to guide us through the wines and her knowledge was fantastic. The visit to the vineyard was very well organised with our tapas and a good variety of wines awaiting us. Her sense of humour was infectious and she regaled our group with many stories which brought the setting to life!! The monastery itself was fascinating and again our guide provided us with a list of options available to us during our ‘free time’. Her knowledge was amazing~ encompassing everything from geography to the history of this incredible region. The cogwheel part of the journey was spectacular and the views incredible!! Our Tour Guide Violeta was amazing and she really made the trip for us. The trip up to Montserrat was smooth and quick. The bus there was very comfortable and left on time. We had a fabulous day yesterday on our tour. The guides were enthusiastic and thoughtful. Instructions and expectations were clear and the schedule was prompt. It was a great way to end the day with a meal amongst new friends. Gus led us around the winery grounds, took some amazing photos for us and then walked us through the tasting of three wines. Next at the winery, we were opted for the tapas option. We will have to return with more time! We left with an assortment of cheeses and honey to take home. We could have easily spent 2 or 3 hours exploring. We had about an hour to explore the grounds before leaving for the winery.

He led us efficiently around the grounds and then made several recommendations on how to spend our free time. Gus was very knowledgeable and passionately shared it with us. Once there, we took the train up the mountain to begin our tour. The guides shared some historical information as we transported to Montserrat. Gus and his colleagues met us at the bus station (very easy to find and check in) and were off for the day. We spent a great day exploring Montserrat with Gus. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 20 travelers.

Montserrat is a Natural Park a very highlighted cultural destination that can't be entirely explored in a single tour.
